Version 1: Mary Tudor, the bloody queen

Once you are related to a nickname, it is difficult to get rid of it. No one knows it better than Mary I of England herself, known as Mary Tudor.

And the nickname "Bloody Mary" didn't come out of nowhere. She was responsible for burning almost 300 Protestants at the stake in the Marian Persecutions in their attempts to create a more Catholic England.

Unfortunately, that queen so capable of contributing to so much death was unable to do the opposite: bring life to the world. She had an "incredibly credible" false pregnancy. Three months after her marriage, María began to suspect that she was pregnant, seeing her belly increase in volume and even said that she could feel the movement of the fetus. However, doctors attributed the inflammation of the real belly to a dropsy, vulgar fluid retention and soon Maria's swollen belly began to deflate again.

Shortly after, in 1558, Maria thought she might be pregnant again. Given what happened before, she decided to keep the news a secret. Unfortunately, once again, it turned out to be a false alarm. But the worst was yet to come since Queen Mary I died shortly after the bad news.

Despite having earned the nickname of Bloody Mary for the Marian Persecutions, there are also people who believe that she is the one who appears behind the mirrors since she is still looking for her lost children and is more than willing to steal one if necessary.
