But, fearing a possible uprising in favor of Mary to take her throne, Elizabeth ordered her to be put in jail where she remained for 19 years. Following many people trying to convince Isabel of many conspiracies along with some attempts to escape from jail by Maria, she was sentenced to death by beheading.
